that these last two days have drove me nuts, actually the last WEEK has.

the money I got back in taxes is trying to burn a hole thru the envelope, thru the purse and thru me because of work I can't do any shopping!

that I am tempted to call into work because I need a day off (HELLO I am on day #7 straight and still have 4 more to go!)

that my house is a disaster due to said work hours and it is killing me not to clean instead of sleep.

that I am nervous as all hell for this Favorite Things Swap that I signed up for. I do not even know where to start. ACK!

{1} What is for dinner tonight (bonus for sharing the recipe)?
I believe tonight we are just going for simple and easy and that would be ramen! We are supposed to get taxes today so there is a few bills to take care of and I work overnight AGAIN, so neither of us are planning on cooking.

{2} Share something you are currently looking forward to.
Going back to school. In about 2 weeks I am going and signing up for my online classes to get my Bachelors Degree!

{3} What are your thoughts on re-gifting?
I do not think its really a bad thing. Depends though. If its brand new fine, if its used, no. If its all torn up, heck no!

{4} How often do you rearrange your furniture?
I used to do it about once a month to every 3 months. My current apartment will not allow for it though due to where the cable outlets are and how its set up. Its a little weird.

{5} Share a picture from your cellphone or camera.
I don't have a cell phone, my camera is at home. Sorry :(

Tuesday Happy List!

Ooh its that time of the week for tons of HAPPY to be on display!

I am HAPPY that we finally hired someone and I will have a nice new schedule in the very near future! (Someone quit out of the blue on Friday and so by the time its over and done with, it will be 10 days straight of work for me)

I am HAPPY that I checked the lovely IRS "where's my refund" site and it told me that its set to be direct deposited a lot sooner than it was originally. I seriously can not wait.

I am HAPPY that with my taxes I get to get my hair done by a pro for pretty much the first time ever! My hair is so bland, I am so ready!

I am HAPPY that my landlord is so understanding when we are a bit short or a bit late with our rent. If she wasn't we would have been evicted by now I am sure.

I am HAPPY that in the near future I will be accompanying my mom to the gym 3 days a week and hopefully hiking one day a week also! Oh and do some resistance training at home with my EA Active 2 for the PS3!

I am HAPPY to be involved in the Favorite Things Swap and make new friends!

Sometime before June 2010. I have not called in since then! I work at a hotel, pretty laid back so even being sick, its not too horrible to be here.

3) Would you rather be poor and work at a job you love or be rich and work at a job you hate?
Poor and work at a job I love. I worked at a call center making TONS of money, well maybe not tons but you get the point. I HATED it so much. I went back to a lower paying job that I enjoy more.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

Looks like HORRIBLE apartments. The only thing I like is the water under the balcony.

26) Are you happy with the person you've become?

For the most part yes. I still need some work though.

27) What's a sound you hate; sound you love?

I hate a lot of sounds, someone repeating, being ignored and screeching. I love the sound of the ocean with the light breeze. Its a sound I really really miss.

28) What's your biggest "what if"?

The biggest one is if I did not move from Florida to Colorado when I was 16 .. what would have happened. I had a choice, stay or go and I chose to go. I do wonder a lot of who I would have become, where I would be in life.

29) Do you believe in ghosts? How about aliens?

Neither.

Not sure, I have a really bad sinus infection right now so I don't smell anything. It sucks ass.

Eric Church. Yummy and very talented man.

To live it. How YOU want, not how others want you to. Simple as that.

whatever shows who you are, your personality, your creativity. Regardless if its a picture you took, drew and painted, or if its a tattoo you have, or if its the way you dress. So many things can be considered a piece of art.

37) Do you believe in luck?

Sometimes yes. And I am sitting on the bad end of it.

38) Patriots or Giants? Or, who gives a rat's ass?

I don't care really but it would be a shame for the Giants to win. I despise their coach Tom Coughlin. He is worthless. I met him years ago when he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars when they started out - I just personally do not care for the man.

39) Will you watch the game? If yes, with who?

Nope I will be sleeping and then working. No game watching for me.

40) Do you drive? If so, have you ever crashed?

Yes. I have been in a few accidents, only two was my fault.

41) What was the last book you read?

I actually just finished a book on my Kindle about 10 minutes ago, Take Me Cowboy. Keep an eye out for a review later.

42) Do you like the smell of gasoline?

No I hate it. Hubby loves it but hes weird.

43) Do you have any nicknames?

Adie is pretty much the only one.

44) What was the last movie you saw?

We bought and watched Tom Cruise's Days of Thunder the other night.

Never really had one, at least nothing stopping me from doing my normal everyday stuff.

I don't think so. Well I lied, I am obsessed with all the free books you can get on the Kindle. I am downloading like crazy!

I moved March of 2011 to my apartment. I am still there, getting ready to extend my lease!

Hmm. Mamarazzi for sure. She is amazing, one of my fave bloggers.

I don't have kids yet.

4. What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?

That I got out of my first marriage.

To change the past!

Bad influences or basically the people I used to hang with in high school (druggies, alcoholics, etc)

99% of the time. I hate arguing.

My bills and lack of money situation.

So I am a bit behind but I wanted to at least do both that I have missed! Enjoy!

{1} Fantasy style, money is no object, if you could pick one type of help which would it be? Why?
A. maid

C. personal chef
Personal Chef. I am horrible at cooking besides simple easy stuff like freaking hamburger helper. I would love for a chef to come in and cook me really good and healthy food!
{2} What is your least favorite household chore?
The toilet. Its gross, no matter what it is. I guess the inside dont bother me too much because thats what a bowl brush is for but the outside, I have to touch it with my hand and ugh.
{3} What is your least loathed (or favorite) household task/ daily chore?
I love to vacumn. I like seeing the floor dirty and then watch it just get pretty and nice when you run a vacumn over it. Plus it smells good (I have a febreeze filter)
{4} What is your favorite cleaning supply? Do you have any magic cleaning tips to share with your readers?
Clorox clean up prolly. Actually anything with Bleach in it is good for me! I think bleach is one of the best cleaners in the world, it disinfects and cleans all at the same time!
{5} What is your usual housework avoidance activity?
usually its just cause I am too busy watching tv or playing Playstation 3!

Ugh. I was disappointed. This short short story was nothing but sex, blood and it was just plain dirty. A little bit of a story line started to unfold and then it just was gone. I am not impressed at all and honestly I would not recommend it at all.

Loved this! The story line was great. They gave great insight to each character, including the supporting characters. I love when a book gives a little background on everyone in the story. It makes so much more sense. A few erotic parts obviously since its a bit of a romance novel but they were mild.

Best Friends Reunited

Let me start with a bit of a background here.

C is my best friend, she is also my sister in law (I married her brother).

D was my best friend years, and I mean YEARS ago.

C and I have had our differences but nothing has ever torn us apart. We have been best of friends since the day we met in 2001. So 11 years, not a bad thing I must say.

D and I were best friends from about 2001 to about 2003. The years since then have been spent either not talking, talking smack, or just plain screaming and yelling and saying horrible things to one another. We had a pretty horrible falling out.

In 2001 to 2003 - C, D and I were ALL best friends. We spent tons of time together. D lived in the apartment behind me so our walls connected. We used to hang out our windows (we were in the first floor) and chit chat even when one or both of us were grounded.

We had tons of fun times. Everyone seemed to call us triple trouble or something on those lines. Basically everyone knew when the 3 of us were together, we were in lots of trouble or planning something just as bad.

This past Thursday I decided to get ALL 3 of us together and go hiking. D was a little nervous, guess I can not say I blame her, I am pretty evil at times.

This turned out to be an amazing time. And then Friday we all went out drinking too. We took a photo on both days of the 3 of us ... its the first picture of us together in TEN years! The last picture (which I do not have on the computer, it was on film) was at my 17th birthday party. Talk about amazing feeling, after 10 years to have a pic of us 3 again.

I am glad we have found that friendship again, its a good feeling to know that we know how to forgive and forget and grow up. I love you girls!

Let's see if I can find some happy this week in me .. its not going to be easy.

I guess I am HAPPY that this particular bill collector that has been harassing Mr. Redneck and threatening court and coming and taking our oh so valuable (NOT) stuff they are willing to do a small monthly payment. Eh hope it stays that way, we tried this once before with problems.

I am HAPPY that my taxes are a good amount that is going to help me get caught up on a few bills as well as get a few things we have needed around the house.

I am HAPPY to have fixed a long lost friendship this past week. It was a little awkward at first but now its all good and we are planning weekly get togethers now!

I am HAPPY that my work schedule has worked out to where I can have 3 days off a week. Its nice, I get one day to do NOTHING then a day to clean and do laundry and a day with friends. I need to stop being such a work a holic and enjoy my life.

I am HAPPY that I get to do a small bit of grocery shopping tomorrow. Its hard on one income so its nice to get to shop once in a while.

I had friends and family by my side, without them I would not have made it. The biggest though, without Mr. Redneck I would not have made it. he stood by me thru every bit of my divorce.

Umm its been a while, prolly my father in law when he had his hip surgery.

3. How many jobs have you held in your life? How many of those were part of your chosen career field?

I have had about 10 jobs (maybe 1 or 2 more than that) since I was 14 (so over a 13 year period) and NONE have been in my chosen career field.

Roaming thru blogs, seen someone do it and joined up cause i love memes!

5. If you could take the train from anywhere to anywhere, where would 'anywhere' be?

when I was 16/17 - I used to cook for me and my little brother cause my mom always worked late.

This was a really cute book about love, lust and finding yourself. Imagine yourself in another country for work, getting fired, no money, no place to live, NOTHING at all. It is a great book that makes you really think about the friends in your life and how much they really matter. And taking chances, huge chances.

I absolutely LOVED this book. Its book one of a series and I cannot wait to get the next parts. It was well written, left a lot to the imagination that slowly would unfold. It was just awesome. Its fantasy, but its a fantasy that is not typical. No vampires or whatnot. The writer really has a creative imagination.

1. Do you live close to where you grew up? Why?

No I don't. I left my home when I was 16, I went back for a year when I was 18 and ended up moving away again. I love home (Mayport, Florida) however I can never live there again, its just not the same anymore. I definitely plan on visiting though.

2. Have you ever been so angry that you almost lost control?

Yes many times. I am Bi Polar so its a trait I am stuck with but over the years I have learned very well how to handle it. Especially working in customer service.

3. Are you a fan of a musical act that slightly embarrasses you?

No I don't believe so. I like what I like. I personally don't care anymore if people don't like it or think its embarrassing to like something.

4. Is there a movie that always makes you cry?

The Notebook. The very end reminds me of my grandparents and I just cannot help but losing it.

5. Who is the most famous person that you've met?

Hmm, I have met a few famous people. Danny Gokey, The Lost Trailers, Jason Michael Carrol, David Nail, Walker Hayes, The Eli Young Band.

6. Before you leave your home, what must you have?

Depends where I am going. ALWAYS my purse and sunglasses. If I am heading to work, I need my laptop and my kindle.

7. What do you miss the most about being a kid?

The freedom of it all. No bills, no adult responsibilities.

8. Tell us about a passion of yours that your readers would not expect.

The way I feel about the Coast Guard. I have heard people over the years say they are not a real part of the military or they are worthless and should not be even considered. I'm sorry but plain and simple, they may not go to Iraq or Afghan but they sit here and protect the US Shores. My grandfather spent 25 years in the Coast Guard so I have strong feelings on this.

9. At what age do you think you'd be to think, “I've had a great run”?

I have no clue. Right now I am still wondering what the hell to do with my life and I am 27!

This was actually quite funny. The main girl is a complete smart ass which I love. Its starts out as basically this girl starting over in life and then gets thrown into a murder mystery. Very entertaining!

There are some references to God, mostly praying and faith. Nothing degrading, just a warning for those uncomfortable with religion talk.

Nope, I dropped out before ever going. I think if I would have stayed in school, I still would not have gone. It just was not my thing.

Whenever its on my own and not by an alarm clock.

No.

yes a few actually, only one was my fault.

Depends. I respect my dad way more than I do my mom. But my mom lives close to me and we talk way more.

Who knows. My 20's are sucking, its almost over. Maybe my 30's will treat me better.

80's. I love that era.

Yep, many times. I always, ALWAYS, thought I could fix it. I think I can fix everyone and everything. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

Jacksonville, Florida. Its home. The beach is beautiful.

I never really win anything, my husband does though. The best by far was the trip to the Marlboro Ranch, 2nd best would be backstage passes to see The Lost Trailers.

This was not a bad story. There was a lot of funny laugh out loud parts, and it was a fun mystery. I loved that aspect of it. I can not stand the tight wound serious type books. Very worth checking out!

Vacation Ended

So I am officially back from Vacation.

I was supposed to get in Weds afternoon but it ended up being last Weds night.

Flights delayed like crazy in Denver.

My vacation was AMAZING!

The Marlboro Ranch is so much fun. I am ready to go again!

I will be around, maybe not a lot cause I am still recovering from this week being gone.

Also I am working crazy hours again and only 1 day off in a roughly 14 day period.

I am a reading machine lately.
The ease of the kindle really is amazing.
Its nice to have a good selection so that way
if I don't feel like reading one book, I can just
move onto a different one.

This was a very short story but it was supposed to be.
Its a prequel to the rest of the series. It was short and sweet.
Interesting enough. Makes you curious as to the rest of the
series. I was not sold on it though.

I am really getting into the Romance Novel ...
NOT Harlequin though, I really don't like those.
But I read my first one today, and I think I have a
new love!

I really enjoyed this one.
It was not just about the romance,
it was about a woman finding herself,
learning to be independent as well.
the writer did a great job telling
the story and leading up to the passion.

Lovely! Definitely worth the read.

Let me begin by saying I am having the WORST morning. I barely banged my wedding band against a desk and it bent (its sterling silver too!!) and then while mopping and making waffle batter at work, I lost two of the black diamonds that were in it. I have NO money or way to get this fixed or repaired, I am so annoyed!!
So I am going to try and be positive, I leave in about 24 hrs for vacation. I hope it can be a good one.

1. When you grew up were you ever told how to deal with problems?
Yes actually. My grandparents were really good in working things out with me when I had a problem. They were always there to help. Now a days I face a problem and feel like a deer in the headlights because I have NO clue what to do.

2. What was your first apartment like?
Very small one bedroom. It was cute, had a walk in closet with shelves and a decent size balcony but that was the only good about it. It was in a way bad area of town, was too small.

3. What was the first car you owned?
Under my name? 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager. With my ex husband though, we had two cars under his name but I paid for and used and was on insurance, they were a 2001 Mazda Protege and a 2003 Hyundai Accent. Both crap! Right now I have my SECOND car under my name which is a 1997 Dodge Intrepid. Love it!

4. Tell us about a crush or relationship that you had at high school.
Hmm. There is a lot to choose from! I had quite a few boyfriends in high school, no I was not a slut, I did not sleep with them at all. I was actually good friends with most of them beforehand. I know my most memorable relationship in high school was only burned into my memory because it was the first heartbreak. It was horrible and it hurt badly.

5. Have you ever had an “enemy” in your life?
I am sure I have.

6. What were you doing the first night that you got drunk?
Sitting on Jacksonville Beach (Florida) watching the fireworks at age 14. I was with one of my best girlfriends from back home and my boyfriend (he was 22). I tried to hide it when I went home, did not work at all!

7. Ten years ago, what was you job and did you like it?
Hmm, 10 years ago I was 17. I believe I was working at the Truck Stop restaurant in Fountain, Colorado. I was a waitress and back then I loved it. I worked 11a to 8p on Friday Saturday and Sunday. I would make at least $100 in tips a day. It was lunch and dinner rush. It was a lot of fun, got to meet all kinds of people!

8. What movie had the biggest impact on you as a child and why?
I do not believe any movie really impacted my life. I do remember my grandma refusing to let me watch Freddy (Nightmare on Elm St) because I watched one where Johnny Depp was eaten by the water bed and I had horrible nightmares for days. Now, I love me some Freddy plus horror movies.

9. What are your plans for this weekend?

In 2 more hours I finally get off work after an 18 hour shift, then I am going to bed because I have to be right back at work 9 hours later for a 12 hr shift. Once I get off work Sunday its off to the airport I go to enjoy a 4 day all expense paid vacation! I am so ready!

So today I have Friday Fill ins and Friday Confessional!

1. Discussions _can be good, especially in a marriage_.
2. _Its so hard to say_ goodbye.
3. I think it's time _to order my new wedding set (my original one just bent and its sterling silver. I don't know what happened!_.
4. _laying down in my bed next to my hubby_ puts a smile on my face.
5. Maybe sometime _I will study for my MA exam_.
6. _Feeling accomplished_ gives me strength.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _nothing, I am working till 8am (18 hrs total)_, tomorrow my plans include _Sleep and lots of it, packing, working 12 hrs_ and Sunday, I want to _Be safe on the plan and enjoy the start of my 4 day vacation!_!

I CONFESS: I willingly asked for 2 more hours today at work making myself work a 18 hour day.

I CONFESS: that I am TERRIFIED of flying on Sunday.

I CONFESS: that i have been on a plane once and it was not the greatest experience.

Making a button

Almost every single blog that I follow has a button. Or they have the weekly link up parties with buttons to go with. Maybe I am just way out of the computer/technical loop or I am just a bit ignorant to the way to do things with a blog. I have no flippin clue on how to set up or make a button. Please for the love of all the is in the world, tell me I am not the only one.

I really want to try and start up like a link party, something small and simple and I have a few ideas in mind. Of course I need to wait till after vacation and I actually have the time to get it up and running. But I think it could be fun.

Oh and I have a cool idea where once a week I want to have a little shout out to a blog I follow, or to just a blog I found that was interesting. Now I have a great, I mean wonderful, catchy and funny name for this, however I shall not tell you yet. There may be someone lurking to steal a name.

(I highly doubt that but hey you never know right??)

Anyways, if someone around this blog-o-sphere knows how to make these buttons and/or how to set up and run a link party, I would so love a little input.

{1} What do you love about blogging?

I honestly do not blog that often, and sometimes I am really unsure of what to blog about. But I like the fact that I can write whatever I want down and it really does not matter. I get to write some of the things I am feeling, within reason, and not have to worry about repercussions. My family does not know I have a blog really. My husband does but he does not care to mess with it. I also watch names and such. Anyways, I am so straying off subject. Its fun to write out things, fun to give my opinion about certain things in the world and life. I also enjoy reading others and speaking with them however occasionally it may be.

{2} What is your favorite scent of candle/air freshener?
Most of the candles you will see in my house have NEVER been used. I usually buy them because they are pretty, especially candle holders. When I do pick one up that I will use, its usually vanilla because me and the hubby can at least agree on that one. Air freshener I used febreeze because its awesome and I use glade cool water or fresh water. Something like that. It smells a bit like home in Florida, on the beach. The smell you get when the waves crash down. Yum!

{3} How would you describe your style?

Simple and comfortable. I am a jeans and t shirt kinda girl. I prefer bell bottom type jeans, I guess they are called "flares" now. I have loved those since I was a kid. My t shirts are usually ones with goofy or funny sayings on them. I honestly hate showing off my assets, they show themselves enough. I am always wearing tennis shoes and whenever I can, you will find me wearing flip flops. I only wear "heels" (1/2 inch boots) for interviews and my work clothes are business casual.

{4} What are 3 things your dream home would have that your current home doesn't have?
Well first of all, it for sure would not be a damn apartment. I am SO tired of living in apartments. But it would for sure have a garden bathtub. Jets optional, would be a nice add in but its not a must have for me. Second thing this place would have is a garage so Mr. Redneck can store his tools somewhere other than my freaking living room closets. Thirdly, it needs to have a huge floor plan. I need space and lots of it.

{5} Do you look at your keyboard when you type?
Very very rarely. I can type about 75 wpm if not more, 10 key by sight and touch. Oh look, I am trying to give you part of my resume. He he. I will occasionally glance down especially if I am typing a lot to make sure I am where I should be or if I am tired or running on lack of sleep (like now) I would glance. Its funny how people look at me as they give me their info at work and I just run thru it no problem and always look right at them or the screen.

I actually have a few things to be happy about this week!!

1. (this may be wrong) but I am kinda glad this one girl got fired for stealing money, I get tons of overtime which will help with my lovely debt and keep me in my apartment.

2. My apartment is slowly but surely coming together. I got my kitchen COMPLETELY done and it looks amazing. Much more space and clean! I got my entertainment wall in the living room done, looks lovely. Now if I can finish the rest (bathroom, bedroom, office, closets)

3. I am leaving for vacation in 4 days!! I cannot wait. I have been waiting for months, I so need this.

Starting 2012

Has been really interesting already.

I am at work till 6am, running on little sleep.

A few posts back I mentioned about my BFF getting fired. Well her replacement turned out great, always cleaning and seemed to be doing really good. Until she got caught stealing money.
What is with people now a days. I understand its hard but stealing money and losing your job is worse off then having a job and being a bit short on bills. I mean come on really?

Now I have 92 hours for the next two weeks (mind you I am on vacation for 4 days, with a 5th day off in general. So I will be working 9 days total ... I am tired thinking about it already.

If this is any indication to how my year is gonna be, then part of me is sad (too many hours at work, not enough time at home) but part is happy (extra money to pay bills).

Here's to the rest of the year. Lets see what happens!

Can you believe its 2012!

2011 went by super fast.

However I am glad its over.

Was not the greatest of years.

I am starting this year out right though ...

A vacation (all expense paid) starting

in 7 days!

I have NO resolutions this year, I have a few "goals"

1. Get a better job in my chosen field

2. Go back to school for my BS Degree

3. See the doctor regularly.

4. Spend time with my husband.

5. Spend time with family and friends.

Just a few simple things. I am not going to stress myself

over some stupid resolution to lose weight or stop smoking,

I attempt to do that anyways so we will leave it at that.

Welcome 2012!

I think I am ok with this year. I graduated college, got married. so good things did happen

2. Do you do New Year's resolutions? If so, what are they this year?
No resolutions just goals.

3. In the past 24 hours, I have reconnected with 3 old friends that I've not spoken to in years. If you could reconnect with someone from your past who would it be, and why?
I would love to find my real father. I have never seen him (he walked out when I was 1 yr old)

4. Do you have anything that you would have not done or done differently in 2011 as you look back?
I don't think so, besides maybe save more and spend more wisely.

5. Going back to my ex-friends that I reconnected with, one of them ended over a boyfriend. She called to apologize. Do you have someone that you fell out with you and wonder how they are?
Sometimes yes sometimes no. there is a reason they were kicked out of my life.

6. If you had a chance to reconnect with an ex (say for coffee), who would it be, and why?
No I don't believe so. They are ex's for a reason. 90% of my exes hurt me pretty bad, I don't want to be around that again.

7. One of resolutions is about weight-loss. Have you ever struggled with your diet?
Always. I have a medical condition that makes it even harder (PCOS)

8. What do you think was the top news story of 2011?
I would think the death of Osama Bin Laden. But people seem to be all wrapped around the Kardashians. Its sad really.

9. What are your plans for (New Year's Eve) tonight?
Not a damn thing. I am stuck at work until 10pm.

Friday Confessional

I CONFESS:
That in my two days, I planned on fixing my house (when you have to move out (almost everything except furniture) and back in when Orkin ransacks your house) back to par ... I was lazy. I only got the 10 bags of laundry put away. and picked up the trash.

I CONFESS:
I spent WAY more than I should over the past few days. I did a little extra shopping. I can't help it that Christmas movies and Christmas candy was 50 to 70 % off. I am a woman after all!

I CONFESS:
That since my roommate/sister in law/best friend moved out, I am FREAKING out about bills and such. I pretend everything is ok when really its not.

I CONFESS:
That beyond the stress, I am THRILLED to have MY apartment back. Its now just me and the hubby. The way it should be!

I am beginning to ~~hate~~ shopping!

The week of Christmas we were picking up presents for our family.

After Christmas, you have to hit the sales!

Well when you get a nice chunk of change from a all expense paid

vacation trip to spend on WHATEVER you want ...

it means more shopping.

Tuesday we went out and picked up some much needed

clothing items, and some not needed stuff.

Mr. Redneck got himself a nice .22 rifle.

This boy has been driving me CRAZY wanting a gun.

With that we had to get a case, ammo, scope, and cleaning kit.

I do not particularly like guns but he is convinced he

will get me to liking them. So he bought me some cute

pink ear plugs and pink eyeglasses to take to the range.

Then we went and bought a nice ~~VERY~~ expensive headset for PS3.

Its the Turtle Beach MOD 3 BRAVO. It looks neat, hopefully it was

worth the hellacious price paid.

I found Season 1 of Vampire Diaries on sale for $15! Amazeballs!

It normally sells for approx. $50. Can't believe it.

Even having no money, I did it anyways.

Its been a while since me and the hubby could buy things

we WANT and LIKE!

Found a nice Rescue Knife for Mr. Redneck.

He has tons of knives, loves them all.

This one was originally $69.99 but we got it for $15!

Found a nice freezer mug for him also.

Dallas Cowboys, and it came with a coaster that will

never be used.

Got me a calendar cause its that time of year to

change them up! And it has a little pocket on each

month and comes with sticky notes for stuff. Pretty

cool for $5!

Found a 4 pack of smell good body spray. Buy one get

one free - $5.99 total!

My fave candy in the world - Ferrero Rocher

Giant star - $4!

Mr. Redneck FINALLY has a stocking - he wanted

Camo - found one for $1.50. What a great

deal!

I love after Christmas shopping. Too bad

I did not have more money to get more things.

I used to participate in this quite often but fell off the wagon about a year or so ago.

So here I am trying this again. Let's hope it goes well this time!

3.) Think about your closes male friend in high school…if you had married him (or her) how would your life be different right now?

Now this is sort of a difficult choice. But it was the only one that would work for me.

In high school, I was a guy's girl. I had lots of guy friends.

Shit most of my friends were guys. I liked that. Guys carried SO much

less drama.

My bestest guy friend in the world would be R.T. I knew him since Kindergarden

and we went to school and had the same classes all the way up until

I moved in 2001 (10th grade). He knew my family, friends, everything.

But we were not THAT close. We never had THOSE types of feelings.

At one point we even looked at each other and said, there was no way in hell

that we would ever want THAT type of relationship!!

If I would have ended up with him, it would have been an awkward ass

relationship. Seriously. Could you imagine knowing someone your WHOLE life,

this person knows EVERY guy you have dated, EVERY embarrassing

thing you have done. Scary huh.

It would have ended in Divorce, that is if I could have even

carried myself down the damn isle.

PS - this guy actually married my best girl friend that I had

known forever, and I was the maid of honor!

Tough situation

I really despise being put in bad situations.

When your best friend is your sister in law its a tough situation.

When this person also works with you, its even tougher.

When the boss is your own mother, its a little deeper.

Oh and that SAME girl is your roommate too!

My best friend, unfortunately, lost her job on Friday. I feel a bit bad because I did

know that this would be happening. I knew a few days before hand. However

I could not express this to her because simply, its a conflict of interest when it

comes to the job. Well things have been tense since then. She decided to move

out even though we offered to help her and her 3 kids.

It worked out though, I get my apartment back. My office will be back

in order soon and then I have space to work with and it will finally

be just me and my husband like it should be.

She was fired for not doing her job, this I know was true because

I had to fix a lot of issues. But that is besides the point.

Money came up missing the day before she lost her job. It falls on her shift

and is speculated to be her. Not just by manager and the owners but by me,

her own best friend. I feel wrong to think this way of her but seriously when

you look at all the signs, they point straight to her. Its sad really.

Now her current boyfriend, he is shady. He just got out of jail. He was in jail

for violating probation that he was put on for domestic violence against

his ex wife. (WOW) Now he still has pending charges for attempted

fraud. (stealing someones check and using it) I mean come on, all

around bad news. I get a bad vibe being around him. She caught him texting

another girl about some inappropriate things. She asks him why, and he

says he has needs and is taking it slow with her (my best friend). To me that is

basically saying he is planning on cheating. He says he will stop, I caught

him the other day writing texts to some other girl he just met. I mean come one.

I tell her about this and all she says is its just a friend nothing going on. She keeps

saying how he treats her so right and better than any guy ever. I don't trust

him, don't want him around, nothing.

Now the tough situation comes where she is my best friend and my sister

in law. Part of me really wants to just close the chapter on her. Like seriously

end our friendship. How could she choose to put her life and her kids life

around this guy, willing screw up at work and be ok with losing her job, and

the fact that she very well possibly stole that money.

What am I supposed to do?

I am at a loss because even discussing this with her, she just ignores the

situation and frankly I am tired of being annoyed and being the worried

friend and sister.

Its a hard time

This year is hard for me.

Well hell, Christmas in general is hard for me.

It has been for 10 years this year.

I was raised by my grandparents from age 3 months to age 16.

They passed away in Jan and Feb 2011 (exactly to the day and hour

away from one another). I was then sent to live with my mom.

Talk about a crazy switch up in life. But that is a whole

nother blog post.

Thru my years with them, I always had things. I always went out

a few days before Christmas and got to pick WHATEVER I wanted

to buy for my family and sometimes even my friends. There was

never really an issue with money, never!

I also used to get tons of stuff, things I always put on my Christmas list.

Yes I was a spoiled child, I loved it but I did not let it make

me some stuck up person. I totally am not!

Well after their passing, Christmas has never been the same. I had

to start working to get anything I wanted in general plus the things for

Christmas (which was not too bad, I had money and needed no permission

to go shopping!) But traditions changed, life changed.

Here it is, 10 years later and I am still hurting, wanting the traditions

back that I had growing up. Decorating the tree how I wanted,

putting the window clings all over the screen door and the living

room window behind the tree. Spending Christmas morning smiling

and happy with my grandparents opening presents. Watching them

smile when they open my gifts that I hand selected or even hand made.

Now, its Christmas Eve tradition with In Laws which is awesome and

filled with good food and fun. But Christmas day, for me its work. I have

worked every Christmas since 2006. It sucks, 5 years and always working

Christmas morning. There is really no tradition for me anymore on this day.

Plus this year, I cannot even buy something for my husband.

I feel horrible that presents are scarce and far in between.

Especially my husband who is always there for me, always dealing with my

nonsense.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, always has and I believe always

will be. Not because of the presents I receive, I honestly could care less

if I get anything or not. I love giving. I love seeing the look on family

and friend's faces when they see something I searched and searched for

that I knew they wanted so much! This year I don't get to bask in that moment

and it saddens me.

Pleasant Surprise

Our apartments had a complex wide window decorating

contest for Christmas. We finally got the decorations up,

figured we would not win because we are a bit behind on

rent and we all know how land lords frown upon people

who don't pay or who are late. Here is what we did

to our apartment.

The first two pictures are my sliding glass door in

the living room. It took a ladder, a little bit of arguing

with Mr Redneck but it was well worth it.

The third pic is of the 2nd (spare) bedroom. Didn't take

much to do that.

Turns out we won 1st place which came with a $100

check! I went Christmas Shopping with it!

Yes its me. I am a ripe age of 27 today!

I am somewhat sad and somewhat happy.

I am older, people have no reason to call me a child, no point

in passing judgement on my actions as an adult.

But ......

I am 3 years away from being 30!!

It scares me.

Ever since I was little, I never wanted to be old, then I started enjoying

the 18th, 21st and 25th. Then it dawned on me, 30 years old is

right around the corner. Its scary to me.

I may break down and cry ....

A new ring?

So when I got married the particular ring set I feel in love with was no longer

available. I was sad but I was able to find another one, that was pretty

unique itself. Its just a small band with black diamonds. Well after wearing

it for two months now, its scratching my pinky and middle finger like crazy.

I am already so tired of it. I just found a new one that is good price, and very pretty.

I cannot wait to order this right after Christmas! I mean isn't it just gorgeous!

I'll make sure to take pics of it on my hand when I get it!

Good movie overall, was better than I thought. Was made out to be some horror flick and it was not scary at all. However that bitch was crazy! Good to watch at least once.

Pretty funny. I mean come on its Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. Channing Tatum is yummy, and he did pretty good. It had some good funny parts and another I would say to at least watch once. Hate what they did to the poor antique charger :(.

Started off a little slow, then the family meeting came and that was HILARIOUS!So many OMG moments, I was embarressed for this kid and it was not even me. Then the "clean it up" part. Wow. This movie is way worth watching!

I wanted to see these based soley that it was done by Wes Craven who I think is amazing. This movie actually turned out pretty darn good. There were spots where I was scared and there were spots where I was thinking seriously? All in all, if you like some horror, check it out!

Love me some Paul Walker so of course I had to check this one out. Pretty good with the action, not too much but not too little which is nice. Overall a good movie, ending was a bit unrealistic however.

1. What in the 2011 has proved to you that you are a survivor?

What didn't happen. Moving into an apt I technically could not afford yet had no other choice, leaving a really good paying job for a crappy paying one that I would at least be happier at, finally taking that step and getting married again, dealing with chaos in my house.

2. Have you ever stayed online for a very long time waiting for someone?

Yes actually. But its been a LONG time since i have done that.

3. Are REALLY ready for the holidays?

Decorating wise, just about. Shopping wise, haha nope. I don't think I will be doing much shopping this year anyways.

4. Did you have an imaginary friend as a kid?

I'm sure I did. Don't all kids?

5. What niche network do you watch the most?

Hmm, I watch a huge variety of tv. MTV, VH1, Discovery, USA, HBO, Starz, CW and more.

6. Have you ever seen the ocean?

Yes I grew up next to the Atlantic Ocean (Jacksonville, Florida). Oh how I miss it! These mountains just don't compare to the wide open beaches and ocean.

7. Have you ever been hospitalized?

Yes, once when I was a kid (fever would not go away) and then as an adult once because I had bronchitis on the verge of pneumonia and my O2 levels were WAY too low. They actually made me sign a paper saying if I left without doctors orders they were not responsible for my death. Scary.

8. What do you think of the US Republican candidates for president?

Don't know. Honestly have not really been paying attention. Hoping whoever wins does better than the joke we have in office right now.

9. Could you imagine life without a computer?

Yes and no. At home, ya but at work, no way.

So I have not posted in quite a while!

My previous neighbors were very irresponsible and caused some problems for my apartment building.

Its been an expensive, long, exhausting process that still is not complete.

Its going to be I would say at least another 2 week process. Horrible!

Also with the holidays coming up I think we all will be a bit lost in reality.

Right after the holidays, I get to go on my 5 day vacation to the Marlboro Ranch in Montana!
I can not wait for this, its almost here!!

As of right now, I am going to try to get back in and at least post my movie reviews, and a few of the lovely link ups that I participate in.

My work schedule is getting ready to change up so I am not sure how I am going to set my postings just yet. I should have it figured out after the vacation since that should be the new "perm" schedule. We shall see.

It depends on the situation. I have lied to my boss about things, I have lied to my parents, my friends. Everyone lies to everyone at one point or another.

2. When you purchase a DVD, what besides the the movie itself, what do you enjoy the most? Is it the director's commentary, the deleted scenes, the bloopers or the behind-the-scenes documentary?
Deleted scenes and the bloopers. But honestly, I rarely watch the extras. I always want to buy the special extended editions but I never really pay attention to the extra crap.

3. What would you most like to accomplish before the year is over?
Getting myself caught up on bills now that Mr. Redneck is working. I am SO tired of being behind every damn month and having to listen to the collectors call me. Assholes I tell ya.

4. What is your current percentage of online shopping? Is it going to be more this year than last?
0%. I never do online shopping. Wait I take that back, I did buy one thing a few years back off Ebay for a Christmas Present. But I really don't online shop, I am more of a go to the store and hunt for something they would like.

5. What's left to do at your place (or where you are going)? Is the tree up? ...or maybe you're just happy you found that fave Christmas coffee mug and are calling that good?
My tree is up, the interior of my apartment is nicely decorated. However the sliding glass door and windows still need to be finished, waiting for it to not be so cold and snowy.

6. If you could get worry free, cost free plastic surgery, would you? If yes, where?
Yes I would. I would get a breast reduction and gastric bypass or Lipo.

No I don't think so.

I spent all morning making flash cards, have at least 200 of them to study from ....

The test is on December 2nd and I am nervous as hell cause its two years worth of info shoved into a test. Ugh!

This weeks movie reviews

So I think I will start making Saturday's my "Movie Review Day" because I do not really have any special things set for Saturday. Its just another day :). So here is what I have for you this week!

LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS -
Very very good movie. It was funny in all the right spots, even had some OMG moments where my jaw hit the floor. The story line is awesome, I was expecting just a typical rom-com and was pleasantly surprised. Oh and there is a good amount of naked Jake Gylenhal. Lovely! (Don't watch with kids due to language and nudity)

COUPLES RETREAT -
Over half the movie I just kept looking to see how much time was left of the movie. When I do this, usually that means its a bad movie. There was not much funny parts, it was way to unrealistic I guess you could say. It was ok to watch once, but that was about it. Ended as you would expect. I cant really say anything super on this. It was just ok. I keep hearing people say its good ... I may have to try and watch it again.

GOING THE DISTANCE -
First off, I love Drew Barrymore, always have. Loved the roommate with the "hookup soundtrack". Funny!! That part just sticks out in my head. The ending was even funny. I really enjoyed this movie, it was funny, sweet and witty. It was not over done with lovey dovey stuff which is nice. I recommend it!

Ok so I am WAY behind on this but I finally watched it. What else can I say besides Amazing!

Not sure what is in for next week, still need to watch the Marley and Me and Pirates 3 dvds that I borrowed. Eventually I will get to it!

Greys Anatomy - OMG can't wait to watch the episode from the 10th. I seen the preview and it made me freak out a bit!
Private Practice - This show I have loved since day one but its killing me lately. Its just not that interesting anymore. It better start picking up!

Today I am thankful for my apartment.

I had my own apartment back in 2006, but had to leave it because I got divorced. I left it to my ex husband. From 2006 to 2011 I lived with my mom and my in laws. It sucked not having our own private space, our own place. Finally earlier this year, we got our apartment. I love it. Granted its a little full because of Mr. Redneck's sister living with us but its still OUR place and that is fine with me. I am so thankful to have a roof over my head that I can call mine!

Today I am thankful for College!

I earned my Associates Degree about a month ago. College made me realize how smart I am. I am not trying to sound conceded here. I dropped out of high school, I felt like I was dumb. College was a whole new experience and it boosted my confidence in that department.

{1} What is your "can't go without it" beauty product/cosmetic?
Considering I really don't wear makeup unless its a special occasion or I actually need it cause my face is just full of blemishes ... I would have to say my Foundation. I have to have some on hand at all times just in case. If I am close to running out, I make sure its on my shopping list. I have to. Oh and chap stick.

{2} Do you apply make-up before or after doing your hair?
Always after doing my hair. My hair is more important that makeup. Not to mention my hair is ALWAYS up so I need to make sure its done and out of my face before I start putting makeup on. Can't get foundation in my hair, that would be a nightmare!

{3} How would you describe your personal style?
I don't think I really have a style per say. I am just a jeans and t shirt kinda girl. I own flips flops and sneakers, no dress shoes or heels. I have more jeans than I can count, I wear t shirts or girly shirts (like with happy bunny on it and such). I am a big girl so therefore I don't go all girly, it just doesn't work for me.

{4} How long does it take you to get ready each day?
99% of the time I do not do anything special so its about 5 minutes. I throw my clothes on, brush my hair and throw it in a pony tail or a bun and grab shoes. If its a special occasion or bar night, I give myself 30 minutes but it usually only takes 15 minutes. I give 30 minutes cause sometimes I gotta break out the straightener.

{5} What is your one pamper, just for you, beauty splurge?
Nothing. I really don't splurge on ANYTHING. I am simple and that is good enough for me right now.

Today I am thankful for my friends.

I would be so lost without my friends.

They provide me the support I need when I am sad, happy, mad, and whatever it may be. Over half my friends live in my computer but they are still my friends none the less!

I hope to always have my friends by my side!

Today I am thankful for this:

Believe me this is a big thing. Mr. Redneck, myself and my sister in law that lives with us love the Modern Warfare franchise and just Call of Duty in general. We are gamers and in my world it is ok, we don't over do it.
We preordered this MONTHS ago and have been waiting ever so patiently since. Well Mr. Redneck is on his way to Game Stop for their midnight premier of the game and he gets to pick up his copy. Lovely.

If it makes him happy, then so be it. It will make me happy too come Wednesday when I will be home to play it!
Not to mention we are WAY tired of Black Ops. Its just dumb now cause Treyarch (who made the game and runs the servers) SUCK!

I can't wait till Wednesday!

1. Have you ever licked the back of a CD to try to get it to work?
Ah yes actually. After completing medical school, I never will again.

2. What’s the largest age difference between yourself and someone you’ve dated?
Well I was 15 dating a 23 year old ... so 8 years was the largest age gap.
My grandparents approved though, they met him and liked him.

3. Ever been in a car wreck?
Yes a few actually. Only two were my fault, one was with a pole.
Long story there.

4. Were you popular in high school?
Eh so so I guess. I went to school with the same kids from elementary
and middle school and high school in Florida. Everyone knew me, or
knew of me. I knew of everyone. When I moved to Colorado though,
No I was not. I hated it.

5. Have you ever been on a blind date?
Nope. Never done that one.

6. Are looks important?
I'd be lying if I said no. However I do not think they are everything.
I think the person needs to at least look decent. I mean come on,
who wants to date someone that does not bathe or looks like they
are homeless. So decent looking, clean cut at least. Thanks.

7. Do you have any friends that you’ve known for 10 years or more?
Yes quite a few actually. My sister in law/best friend, I still have
some friends from Elementary and Middle School. I have two friends
that I have known for at least 20 years, since Kindergarten.

8. By what age would you like to be married?
This must be a trick question. I was married first time at age 20, I was
a dumb ass! Then I got married this last time at age 26. I am smarter and
wiser now by far. I know I made the right decision this time.

9. Does the number of people a person’s slept with affect your view of them?
Again, I would be lying if I said no. Yes it does but not to the extent
some may think. Everyone has a past, everyone had previous lovers.
But if you are running with the Hugh Hefner number of like 2000, that
is gross, I do not want you to touch me, don't even give a friendly hug
or handshake. Ugh.

10. Have you ever made a mistake?
Haven't we all! Everyone makes mistakes. Now its up to that person
to learn from it or to keep going.

11. Are you a good tipper?
Yes I'd like to think so. I work at a hotel and constantly have food
delivered. I always tip the person, no matter what.

12. What’s the most you have spent for a haircut?
Back in Florida, in high school. I spent $35 to get my hair
layered, when it was done, it looked the exact same as it did
when I walked in. I was not happy. I have NEVER gone to a
professional again. Mr. Redneck cuts my hair cause its just
a simple trim.

13. Have you ever had a crush on a teacher?
An active crush no, thought a teacher was cute, yes.

14. Have you ever peed in public?
Does peeing in a pool count?

15. What song do you want played at your funeral?
Crossroads by Bone Thugs and Harmony. One of my grandma's
fave songs and if I am thinking back right, she wanted that at her's
also.

16. Would you tell your parents if you were gay?
Yes. It would not be easy to tell my dad but I would.
However I am straight!

17. What would your last meal be before getting executed?
Hmm that is a good question. My mother in law's meatloaf,
gravy and homemade mashed potatoes.

18. Beatles or Stones?
Neither. I have listened to both, was not particular impressed
with either of them.

19. If you had to pick one person on earth to die, who would it be?
My ex husband after what he did to me. Yea I am still bitter.

20. Beer, wine or hard liquor?
Hard Liquor please. I hate beer, wine just ain't my thing either.
give me Tequila!

21. Do you have any phobias?
I have a fear of snakes. They scare me and I do not like them.
I have a fear of being "stuck" in a small space. Like a car, elevator or such.
I am not claustrophobic, I am just afraid someone or something will
make me stuck to where I cannot get out.

22. What are your plans for the future?
Well right now its simply to get on day by day and to get back to
school for my bachelors degree. Oh and I want to buy a house by the
time I am 30 which leaves me a little over 3 years.

I am thankful for my car. Without it, things would be hectic and horrible. There is a little story behind my crazy car ....
I bought my car the very last day of July 2010 at a Buy Here Pay Here kinda lot. My family and friends have gotten cars here before without too much of a problem with it down the road. I guess I was not that lucky. I seen this car and just knew I HAD to have it. See Mr. Redneck is a Dodge man, no matter what he will choose a Dodge. Well they only had one Dodge on the lot that day and I knew I would be stuck with it but it was not a stuck with it kinda thing because I fell in love with it!

We took it home and enjoyed its beauty and its drive, until September. We were leaving Wal Mart when we heard this knock, Mr. Redneck was driving and knows a lot about cars thankfully, he pushed on the gas and the knock got louder, it was horrible. We continued driving it cause hey, I have to get to work regardless. Finally we took it to the shop, it was a rod knocking. $1000 for a new-used engine (only 100,000 miles on it) and the labor and we are good to go. Its now October cause it took 3 weeks to get our car back. We are cruising along and all is great. November shows up and I am on the way to my mom's for my little brothers birthday and in the middle of a main road, Mr. Redneck looks at me and says "the transmission is gone". Are you kidding me?? Another $1000 for a new-used (with 90,000 miles on it) and labor and 3 more weeks, I have my car back. So from December 2010 to now, almost a year, my car is great. Its doing well, does not have any major problems and I think it will keep on going.
I hated that car for a while because of how much money it drained from me but now, I can't part with it. I am just stuck with it and that's ok!

Days 1 - 5 of what I am thankful for!

So I first heard about this thru Mamarazzi who is awesome and so is her blog. I decided to join in. I may be a little late but hey that's alright! I am going to throw all first 5 days into this post and go from there. Join in!!

DAY 1

November 1st:

I am thankful for Facebook. Yes this may sound weird but if it were not for Facebook, I would not have found friends that I have known since Elementary School that I lost contact with when I moved away from Florida. I also would not be able to keep in good contact with my family that lives far from me but I love dearly.

DAY 2

November 2nd:

I am thankful that I made it home safe after the snow we had Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The roads were COVERED in ice and snow and I had to drive 20 mph all the way home but I made it safe and sound without a problem.

DAY 3
November 3rd:

I am thankful to have a job! Not many people now a days are happy with their job or their situation. I may not be completely happy but I have a full time job, with overtime available and a boss that gives pay day advances without any problems. My boss gave me a huge advance to help with my car tags and insurance and I get to pay her back slowly out of each check, what other boss would do something like that!

DAY 4
November 4th:

I am thankful to have a laptop. Without it, I would lose my mind. All my friends, family and almost my whole life lives in this little ole thing! What would I do without it? Go crazy and be put in a mental institution. Well maybe not that drastic but still. This laptop gives me sanity when I am sitting at work with NOTHING to do because its slow season in the hotel world.

DAY 5
November 5th:

I am thankful for my husband. (we have been married like 3 weeks now!!) He is wonderful. Yes he may not work but you know what he is doing on this Saturday afternoon? He is over at his parents doing laundry because I was too worn out to do it myself on my days off. He does this weekly for me. Its awesome. Mr. Redneck, I love you!

This week in Movies ...

So it's been a while since I have done any type of movie reviews but it has been busy around my neck of the woods but I did finally get some movies in this week.

(yes they are movies that have been out for a while but I refuse to pay the ticket prices out there unless its Breaking Dawn, and I really hate renting movies, especially saying I almost always forget to return them on time. So I will stick with HBO and STARZ!)

I read the book a few months back, I cried. The story

was amazing. I loved the way it went back and forth

from present to past and future. Well I finally got to

watch the movie and I loved it. It was short and sweet

and to the point. There is way more good info in the book

but I loved the movie, and I cried to it also!

I was kinda "whatever" with this movie when it first came

out, I mean it was just way too many big names for a

small little kinda pointless seeming movie. However,

I enjoyed it. It was good for what it was. The big names

in the movie were cool. I loved just about everyone in

there. However the ending, with Bradley Cooper

and Eric Dane. Umm yea I am scarred. Watching

Grey's Anatomy is gonna drive me nuts with McSteamy now!

My Happy List

So this will probably be a short and sweet happy list today. Not much happening this past week.

I am happy for the phone call that got Mr. Redneck an interview on Weds. Now I just really really hope hes gets this job, I am tired of being the only one working for about 3 years now. Its stressful.

I am happy that the paperwork FINALLY got faxed to the ranch so we can confirm our trip in January. Everything is all set and we should get the airline tickets right after Christmas!

I am happy that no one was injured or hurt in the incident that happened at my job early this morning. I just hope that everyone involved is emotionally ok and that it does not cause problems for this property.

I am happy that I was able to sit at a table with 3 hotel guests tonight for like 2 hours just having a good conversation. Its wonderful to have someone that don't know all your about to just chat with.

I am REALLY happy that today is my FRIDAY!

So this year I am at work from 2p to 6am .. yes 16 hours of work .. sitting at a hotel waiting for people to need or want a room. Its going to be a LONG night.
